‘Art in the Aftermath’ by Style for Soldiers at 15 Barkers Pool, Sheffield

The Best Art Exhibitions in the UK

Art in the Aftermath is a unique exhibition showcasing, with a positive stance, the immense strength of some of the women and men who have coped with PTSD and life-changing injuries once coming out of severe violent conflict in Afghanistan. It is presented by Style for Soldiers, started by menswear designer Emma Willis as a response to those who have been medically discharged from the military and some of the challenges they face. Exhibiting artists are portrait painter, poet and motivational speaker Stewart Hill, painter Martin Wade who himself was medically discharged in 2015, Former Guardsman and painter Dougie Adams, poet and artist Karl Tearney, artist Harry Parker, and sculptor John Cutting. The exhibition is free but donations to the cause are greatly appreciated. 22-26 July, styleforsoldiers.com
