Huge thanks to Giles Duley for hosting the ‘Art in the Aftermath’ discussion with the soldier artists Martin Wade, Stewart Hill, Dougie Adams, Harry Parker and poet Karl Tearney about the importance of creativity and art in all their lives. I met Giles at Headley Court following his injury in Afghanistan out on patrol with the US Marines as a Humanitarian and conflict photographer and his portraits of all the artists and our S4S Ambassadors which were a striking part of the exhibition. We will post these portraits on instagram over the next few weeks and today we feature the phenomenal surgeon Shehan Hettiaratchy , or ‘ H’ who operated in Helmand and so many of you now know. The powerful, moving and at many points very funny talk was extremely popular and raised significant funds for Style for Soldiers.
